PART XIV

CONCLUSION

188 The Purpose of John's Gospel, and the Personal Testimony of the Apostle

John 20:30-31;1:14b;16-18;21:24-25

20:30 Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. 1:14b We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father full of grace and truth. 16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. 17 For the law was given though Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but God the only Son, who is at the Father's side, has made him known. 21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them written down I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that I would be written. 21:24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.
